All India Jain Youth Federation ®(AIJYF) Hubballi is a social organization constituted by a group of like-minded youth with the basic objective of serving the community, irrespective of caste, creed and color, following the tenets of Bhagwan Mahaveer, viz LIVE and LET LIVE!

AIJYF was inaugurated in the year 1994 by Smt. Margaret Alvaji, the Hon'ble Union Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension, New Delhi.

In 1995, under the able leadership of Shri Mahendra H. Singhi Founder President of All India Jain Youth Federation, Mahaveer Limb Centre, the only NGO in North Karnataka, was established to render yeoman services for the rehabilitation of physically challenged brethren by providing artificial limbs, crutches, calipers, tricycles, free of cost. The AIJYF established a permanent centre in the premises of Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital (KIMS), at Vidya Nagar, Hubballi. This voluntary, non-religious, non-sectarian and apolitical organization is relentlessly working for the well being of the physically challenged.

The centre receives more than 5 patients every day, including women and children, from the age group of 1 year to 65 years.

The main aim of Mahaveer Limb Centre is the physical, economical and social rehabilitation of the people who have lost their limbs due to various causes. The centre has helped thousands of people to regain their self-esteem and live a life with dignity & confidence like any other normal person. The beneficiaries are not only from Karnataka, but also from neighboring states.

Since 2000, Mahaveer Limb Centre has been regularly organizing 'Free Limb Camps' in various states of Southern India providing artificial limbs, along with food, accommodation and medicines, to the needy. After fixing the artificial limb, the patient can write, lift weights up to 10 kilograms, ride a bicycle and do many other normal tasks just like any other normal person. Apart from the artificial limbs, Mahaveer Limb Centre also provides, calipers, all types of braces splints, modified chappals, corrective shoes etc. The entire expenditure for all these activities is borne by the All India Jain Youth Federation (R) Hubballi, and with the generous donations from members and philanthropists. Anyone can become a part of this humble service, by offering their donations to cover the cost of the artificial limbs and other services connected with this movement.
